Winter 2009: Motets from Cantiones Sacrae 1575

In 1575, Byrd, a rising musical star, and Tallis, nearing the
end of his career, were granted a patent for the printing of
music in England, and published a set of XX motets dedicated
to Queen Elizabeth. Join us as we perform gems from
this royal collection, including Byrd’s magnifcent 8-voice
